Search

Overview

Search helps users find records, articles, and module information without manually browsing through long lists. Search behavior may vary by module, but the best results come from using specific names, phone numbers, email addresses, companies, or keywords.

Before You Begin

  • Know what type of item you are searching for.
  • Use accurate spelling or partial values from the record.

Requirements

  • Access to the module being searched.
  • Permission to view matching records.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open the module or documentation area where you want to search.
  2. Click the search field.
  3. Enter a specific term such as contact name, company name, email address, phone number, invoice number, task keyword, or documentation topic.
  4. Review the results.
  5. Open the correct record or article.
  6. Clear or change the search term to broaden results if needed.

Expected Result

The system should show matching records or articles that your user account is allowed to access.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Use fewer words when you are unsure of the exact title.
  • Use phone or email values for CRM contact searches when names are duplicated.
  • Use module names such as Gmail, POS, License, Contacts, or Tasks when searching this knowledgebase.

Troubleshooting

  • If expected results do not appear, check spelling and remove extra filters.
  • If another user can see a record but you cannot, ask an administrator to review your permissions.
  • If search feels slow, narrow the search term and avoid very broad words.
